As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:

  • Month-end Oracle Cloud close processes for OMERS Capital Markets (Global Credit, Global Equities, and Global Multi-Asset Strategies)
  • Reconciliation of financial data across different systems used by OMERS Capital Markets
  • Preparing monthly financial results of OMERS Capital Markets business units, including but not limited to key notes and disclosures of Investments Asset, Investment Liabilities, Net Investment Income, Derivatives, etc.
  • Maintaining, documenting, and continuously improving strong internal controls within Capital Markets Finance
  • Work closely with Capital Markets Finance teams to provide financial advisory and support to help achieve financial targets, identify risks & opportunities, and provide high quality performance measurement analysis.
  • Provide financial analysis including operational performance trends, variance analysis against operating plan and historical results. Identify operational and strategic implications, and help to provide meaningful, actionable insights, advice, recommendations, and key actions to business stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing and prepare a variety of management reports including reports to support Board subcommittee presentations, scorecards, trend analysis, financial analysis & modeling
  • Addressing accounting and financial control special projects as required.
