Job Description Summary:

What you need to know about the role:

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead our Artifact and Process management team for the Developer Platform Engineering team at PayPal. This critical role ensures developers have the tools and processes they need to plan, build, release and deploy the features and capabilities for PayPal’s customers.

Meet your team:

This role is to lead our Artifact and Process management team for the Developer Platform Engineering team at PayPal. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in product management, a deep understanding of Developer tools (esp. In artifact and process management domain like Jira, Confluence, GitHub, etc., and experience with leading and implementing tools and processes at an organization wide scale.

As the lead product manager in the area, you will also drive the vision, strategy, and execution of these Artifact and process management tools, to enhance developer productivity and customer satisfaction.

Your day to day:

  • Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Developer tools, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.

  • Drive organization wide convergence initiatives on tools and processes, especially generalizing the organization wide needs for various Source code management and SDLC process tools.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and customer support teams to deliver high-quality observability solutions.

  • Drive the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and requirements gathering to execution and launch.

  • Analyze user feedback, market trends, and usage data to continuously improve the platform and identify new opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.

  • Monitor and report on the success of product initiatives, using data-driven insights to inform future development.

What you need to bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 5-7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on Developer tools or related fields.

  • Demonstrated experience with Developer tools and platforms, such as GitHub, Circle CI, Harness, Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Confluence, and other tools

  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, schedule trade-offs, and new opportunities with technical team members.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
