Data Migration Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Migration Lead to oversee and execute the data migration, transition, and go-live testing processes for our client' projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all data migration activities are conducted in accordance with the approved test plan and schedule, ensuring a seamless transition from any legacy back-office to our client' deployments.

• Formal Data Migration and Transition:
  • Conduct formal data migration, transition, and go-live testing at a given client instance.
  • Ensure all activities conform to the approved test plan and schedule.
  • Determine the functional and technical performance of data migration processes and tools.
  • Gain approval to begin migration of production data and transition to the new system.
• Testing and Validation:
  • Perform testing of the exact procedures and tools used for data migration from existing legacy systems to the MoveBeyond System.
  • Validate the accuracy and completeness of data migration processes.
• Data Transfer:
  • Transfer historical and summary data to the new system as per the approved data migration and transition plan.
  • Ensure that transferred data remains intact and accessible within the new system.
• Review and Approval:
  • Review the data migration and transition checklist to ensure all processes and plans are completed and approved.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, internal and external, to gain necessary approvals for data migration and transition activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading data migration projects, preferably within large-scale enterprise environments;
• Strong understanding of data migration processes, tools, and best practices;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders;
• Strong communication and organizational skills;
• Relevant certifications in data management or project management (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are a plus;
• Experience with data migration tools and software;
• Knowledge of database management systems and data warehousing.
