WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Front End React Engineer Consultant for eCommerce will use React.js concepts and workflows (ie. Redux, Server-Side Rendering, Styled Components and Storybook) to oversee the development of new and highly-responsive, web-based user interfaces in a test driven SDLC.

You will:

  • Work with product owners and their teams to support release planning activities; identify and define enablers and work items to support the architectural runway of products and applications.
  • Perform development, optimization and automation activities to support implementation of products and applications.
  • Develop and implement front-end architecture for user interface.
  • Build automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Create and deliver DevSecOps automation for application deployment and testing.
  • Develop and execute unit tests which validate code changes made to support implementation of user stories.
  • Detect software defects by using test driven development (TDD) practices.
  • Promote enabling work at the edges supported by a core set of defined services.
  • Modify engagement models to support rapid test and deployment of new technology.
  • Promote workforce scaling model that grows with the application catalog.
  • Use monitoring tools (ie, Dynatrace/Splunk) and browser tools to perform waterfall analysis to identify roadblocks and improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define project specs and release documents throughout project.
  • Utilize peer code review practices.

  • Your experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional working experience in related field.
    • 7+ years of experience as a React.js developer with experience in React.js, HTML, CSS3.
    • Additional and extensive experience in JavaScript and React concepts.
    • Extensive experience as a front-end developer and a passion for mentoring peers.
    • CSS and CSS-precompilation proficiency.
    • Understanding of REST and Graph QL patterns with ability to integrate third party API's.
    • Proficiency with Redux and Redux Sagas.
    • Knowledge of JavaScript ES6+ features (classes, arrow functions, template literals, promises, async/await, rest/spread operators).
    • Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
    • Ability to refactor code and algorithms.
    • Experience with software development for eCommerce applications.
    • Consulting experience is a plus!

  • Competitive compensation with opportunities for additional incentives. The annual salary range for this role is $110,000-$130,000.
