Position Overview

This role is for a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer, eager to hone their expertise in an environment focused on modern tools and practices (Trunk Based Development, Containerization, CI/CD). The Senior DevOps Engineer will need to:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced automation, scripting, and CI/CD pipelines using the latest technologies and approaches.
• Passionately advocate for and pragmatically implement Agile and DevOps principles and practices across teams.
• Contribute to and help shape the quality assurance/testing strategy for key features, performing technical tasks as necessary to support that strategy.
• Foster an open, collaborative, and trust-based culture, promoting Diligent values and prioritizing team excellence over individual productivity.
• Drive communication and collaboration between Development, QA, Operations, Engineering, and other technology groups to ensure the regular, smooth delivery of working software to production.
• Mentor and guide other developers and DevOps engineers, helping to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Required Experience/Skills

• A deep passion for DevOps with extensive experience and a thorough understanding of its fundamentals, practices, and principles.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering best practices and the full software engineering lifecycle, from design to deployment and ongoing support.
• Up-to-date proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as C# .NET, PowerShell, Golang, JavaScript.
• Experience working with AWS and related IaC technologies
• Strong experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm.
• A self-directed, positive problem solver with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• A strong sense of accountability, personal responsibility, and integrity, with a commitment to continuous self-improvement and delivering high-quality work.
