About The Role

Humane's System Software team enables on-device experiences to take full advantage of our hardware capabilities. We collaborate with internal and external partners in a high-leverage environment that enables us to spend a majority of our time developing solutions that are unique to our hardware, sensors, algorithms, and interaction models. What You Might Do

• Android development: Java/Kotlin/C++
• Implement platform services and applications for device management/configuration
• Customize operating system frameworks to enable delightful device interactions
• Develop automated tests to measure performance/stability

Essential Qualifications

• 8+ years experience developing system software on Linux/Android devices
• Familiarity with SoC architecture

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing SW applications and services on AOSP
• Experience with embedded Linux/Android, AIDL
• Experience with device firmware updates, OTA, provisioning
• Awareness of power/performance tradeoffs in SW design
• Ability to collaborate and contribute in a psychologically safe and healthy team environment

Salary Range: $185,000-$240,000

Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)

• The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills
