Salary: $80,000 - 95,000/year
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing and enhancing our electronics manufacturing processes. Your expertise will help ensure the efficiency, quality, and reliability of our production operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices to achieve production goals.
Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes for electronics production to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve process-related issues and challenges in a timely manner, utilizing root cause analysis and corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and control process variables to ensure product specifications and quality standards are consistently met. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Lead process improvement projects and track performance metrics to achieve operational excellence.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to production teams, including training operators on new processes, equipment, and best practices to ensure effective and safe manufacturing operations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
- Equipment and Technology: Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Oversee equipment installation, calibration, and maintenance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, design, and other engineering teams to support product development and ensure manufacturability of new electronics products.
Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in electronics manufacturing and process engineering, with a solid understanding of electronics assembly, soldering, and testing processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with electronic test equipment and quality control tools is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
