Data Engineer Team Leader

We are looking for a Data Engineer team leader with proven experience to join our Revenue Engineering team!
You’ll be joining an efficient and fast paced working team, building and supporting data infrastructure for revenue generating teams across BlueVine.

You will help business functions such as BizOps, BI, Marketing, Revenue operations, Customer support, business development to leverage data and automation to improve efficiency and productivity. You will work with business leaders, fellow engineers, and business analysts to help identify answers for the most important questions impacting our business.

What You'll Do:

• Manage, coach and mentor a team of data engineers and help build the team and recruit team members.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to team members and manage teams tasks and sprint planning
• Work in collaboration with management and other members of the group located in California.
• Help build robust and scalable data pipelines and ETL services for processing data from internal and external Data sources
• Work collaboratively with the BI team to address data needs and requirements
• Help automating business processes requiring data manipulation, aggregation, and sharing
• Optimize and monitor proactively existing data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure timely, accurate and secure data delivery
• Manage data integration with external vendors, products and services that Bluevine is partnering with
• Managing and owning a portfolio of data products that deliver high-quality data

What We Look For:

• 2+ years of experience in managing Data engineers or developers.
• 5+ years of experience with Python programming
• 3+ years of experience working with SQL
• Experience in the complete life cycle of data warehouse projects, including functional/technical design, coding, testing deploying to production and monitoring
• Experience working with AWS cloud services
• Experience with using open source or non-open source ETL tools and services (Matillion, Heroku)
• Experience working with Redshift, PostgreSQL
• Experience with Docker containers
• Excellent English communication both verbal and written
• BSc/BA in Computer Science or related field
