The Refurbishment Technician Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and helping improve the existing upgrade process. Will also ensure that both quality and efficiency of the processes.

Supporting leading of the refurbishment team and will help to develop and train all team members. Will help to manage all activities within the process. You will drive productivity to maximise profitability of the process and will support the site management team in ensuring all environmental, safety and security policies are always adhered to.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 10.00-18.00

Salary: £31,617.68 per annum / £16.21 ph

Key Duties of a Refurbishment Technician Engineer:

  • Positive interaction with colleagues to manage performance on an individual and team basis.
  • Acting as a communication channel between Refurbishment Shift Managers and Colleagues.
  • Effective deployment of skills during shift.
  • Identify training needs and arranging via Refurbishment Shift Managers.
  • Train new colleagues to a company standard skill base.
  • Train existing colleagues in more advanced and new modules.
  • All training to be entered on to the upgrade training matrix.
  • Collaborate with & coordinate as requested with Management team.
  • Escalate issues to management.
  • Where possible resolve problems or escalate where necessary
  • Ensuring accuracy of work by individuals.
  • Ensuring quality is monitored and maintained in all areas.
  • Housekeeping & organisation of resources.
  • Address quality issues and escalate for any action to be taken.
  • Seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Create Tuesday and Thursday team training meetings for both shifts.
  • Ensure all Colleagues are wearing the correct PPE; arrange replacements as required.
  • Conduct accident investigations as directed.
  • Escalated near misses and any incidents.
  • Ensure team are following SOP’s correctly.
  • Address potential hazards and escalate where required.
  • New sound booth lists to be produced periodically to cover current workforce.
  • Cooperate with management regarding individuals’ knowledge to ensure all colleagues are allocated work equally and fairly.
  • Dealing with external customers in person
  • Attend 121 with Line Manager.

Requirements

  • Experience in electrical and mechanical repair work
  • Professional power tools, inspecting & fault finding
  • Experience in PAT testing (certificate required)
  • Ability / skill set to recover and fix the products.
  • Ability to feedback on faults finding in professional manner.
  • Providing evidence of common faults professionally on client request.
  • Produce monthly return fault video/s clearly explaining product descriptions, return reasons, mechanical and electrical issues, and repair solutions.
  • Set up new external working relations with technical services to meet existing or new production requirements.
  • Maintain PAT machines ensuring calibration and repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain compressors bi-monthly and when required.
  • All PAT/ Compressor maintenance must be accurately recorded including items for external repair
  • Experience in using standard office packages; word, excel etc.
  • Previous experience of managing a team is an advantage
