Principal Engineer – Electrical

If this sounds like you, or you’re curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity as we invite you to demonstrate best practice in electrical infrastructure and critical system design as we look for enthusiastic and suitably experienced Principal Level Electrical Engineer for the Ramboll Engineering Centre located in Gurugram. The Ramboll Engineering Centre is an essential contributor to the success of the Ramboll UK Critical Systems team and wider Building Services team, who together collaborate to deliver exciting and challenging projects across many different sectors.

Your new role

As our new Principal Engineer (Electrical), you will contribute to delivering technical designs in locations throughout the UK, Europe and remote locations around the world. You will be an integral part of the UK Buildings team, working across all markets and many countries. The Critical Systems team work on electrical and mechanical designs for infrastructure support projects such as road and rail tunnels, moving bridges, power distribution and protection, energy generation, standby power support, uninterruptible power, and district heating facilities. We work on rail systems, ports and harbours, floating pontoons and dock installations. We deliver provision for EV charging now and for future demand and checking of designs for critical infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Electrical technical design, reviews and checking
• Proactively co-ordinate critical system designs with internal and external stakeholders
• Application of advanced/well-developed problem-solving skills when identifying and resolving project challenges

About you

• Master’s degree in electrical or Power Systems Engineering, or equivalent relevant qualification
• Chartered (or en route to) with a recognised professional institution
• Experienced in HV distribution systems, including substation design, prime power generation and standby generation.
• Knowledge of proprietary design software (ETAP or Trimble)
• Experience in infrastructure design in Europe would be a strong added advantage.
• Be aware of on-site installation practice and buildability.
• Have good communications skill in written and spoken English.

• Must possess professional English language skills (written and verbal).
• Able to communicate clearly with drafting team by sketches. Should be able to work in a team and support, mentor and develop junior engineers

B tech Electrical , M tech Electrical Power Systems

Mandatory Skills required : Amtech& ETAP (preferable) , Experienced in HV

distribution systems, including substation design, prime power generation and

standby generation.

Experience : 8-12 years , Experience in infrastructure design in Europe would be

a strong added advantage.
