Senior Application Engineer

Responsibilities:

• ESD evaluation of customer boards and equipment pursuant to IEC 61000-4-2 (an International Electro-technical Commission test standard). Ability to analyze system level ESD failures using SEED (System Efficient ESD Design) methodology and ESD/EMC analysis tools including ESD generators and Transmission Line Pulse (TLP) / Very Fast TLP (VFTLP) analysis.
• Interface with customers to help define new products
• Create technical projects with test plan and generate technical reports
• Create datasheet in Indesign
• Use PSPICE software for protection device modeling and circuit simulations
• Product testing, performance evaluation, documentation, specification setting, feasibility, simulations.
• Communicates with sales and marketing team to define new products by analyzing customer feedback, market knowledge, and analysis of competitive products.
• Technical training of sales, marketing, FAE and Disti partners.
• Visit customers with Sales/FAEs and provide on-site support as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering or related degree
• Minimum 7 years Application Engineering experience.
• Highly motivated and team oriented
• Strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule
• Proven lab skills and proficiency in operating lab test equipment including but not limited to, impedance/gain-phase analyzer, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, electronic loads, power supplies, Network Analyzer, ESD gun, surge tester, and various metering equipment.
• Must have good understanding in high-speed transmission line.
• Must have excellent debugging skills
• Good to have experience with the automotive industry
• Familiarity with ESD protection and devices preferred.
• Plus to have experience with Altium/OrCAD/any PCB design tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office™ products - Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, Project
• Strong leadership, people management, teamwork and coaching skills
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and project management skills
• Effective verbal and written communication to interface at all levels within the organization
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
