As an E-learning Designer on our Sales Training & Enablement team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and administration of comprehensive e-learning solutions to support the ongoing development of Wellmark’s internal and external sales producers. This involves efforts to advance learning experiences that facilitate acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies, ultimately improving on-the-job performance and achievement of business goals. You will play a key role in creating engaging and impactful learning experiences by utilizing advanced authoring tools, identifying online and virtual e-learning training opportunities based on data, and recommending solutions that will deliver business results. You will collaborate with peers, leaders, and stakeholders to deliver these results, all while providing subject matter expertise on best practices as it relates to leveraging online opportunities.

Ideal candidates are passionate about creating dynamic learning solutions, never losing sight of the end goal: increasing capabilities and effectiveness of Wellmark’s sales teams. You will bring collaborative and productive ways of working to engage with other members of the training team and leaders across our sales space, ensuring content is reflective of business direction and that timelines/deadlines are met. You have a keen eye for envisioning and building learning experiences that balance quality and quantity, utilizing your technical know-how, attention to detail, and business acumen. Expertise in LMS usage and online learning tools (specifically Articulate) will help you rise to the top, as you will be the primary e-learning specialist, spending a great deal of time in the tools creating solutions.

Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2+ years of curriculum or content development experience
  • Proficient in design and development of interactive, engaging online training experiences, suited to the characteristics and needs of the stakeholders/audience
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with others to encourage and support communication and teamwork
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, think critically, and work independently
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, including the application of strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and fact-based decision-making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Hands-on experience in developing online learning using tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Captivate, Articulate, Storyline 360 and others
  • Applied experience with Learning Management System
  • Working knowledge of basic instructional design principles such as ADDIE, Bloom’s taxonomy, Adult Learning Principles, etc.

Additional information

a. Analyze, monitor, and report on all virtual training offerings. Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on results tied to business outcomes.

b. Partner with colleagues to conduct initial training needs assessments with stakeholders to identify needs and performance gaps, and determine appropriate e-learning strategies.

c. Leverage multiple applications and research best-in-class strategies to deliver highly-effective e-learning and virtual training curriculum. Ensure the training material is updated for content and design changes. Maintain library of online training solutions, and supplemental documentation to ensure colleagues and division-wide leadership are aware of new and existing opportunities.

d. Leverage a variety of media, such as video and audio to create learning solutions. Utilize instructional design software, eLearning authoring tools, and emerging technologies to enhance learning experiences and engagement.

e. Maintain and update the training library to ensure content is current, relevant, and accessible to all learners.

f. Coach peers through complex solution design and development projects.

g. Maximize the functionality of Wellmark's learning management system, and promote online learning options available to the Division and other stakeholders. Connect and supplement classroom training with existing or new online learning opportunities. Ensure any e-learning solutions support Wellmark's competencies and branding strategy, and adhere to Learning and Development's style guide.

h. Other duties as assigned.
