Software Engineer - SAP ABAP

As an SAP Software Engineer, you will be a part of SAP Platform Unit is at the forefront of driving technological excellence and innovation within the organization. We focus on developing and maintaining the core platforms and technologies that underpin SAP's products and services, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices

Responsibilities

This technical role as a Software Engineer holds a broad spectrum from technical knowledge, configuration and testing to development and functional competences covering SAP SD, MM, FI etc.

• Work with professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Translate product strategy and objectives into world-class maintainable and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate and co-create closely with your Product Owner and other teams

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience
• Proficient in agile software engineering methodologies such as Kanban or SCRUM
• Expertise in SAP BTP RAP (RESTful ABAP) and SAP BTP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) for seamless integration solutions
• Strong experience in SAP ABAP development, including knowledge of object-oriented design patterns
• Familiarity with NetWeaver & Web Dynpro ABAP for user interface development
• Hands-on experience with ABAP CDS & AMDP’s for efficient data modeling and database access
• Skilled in unit testing using ABAP Unit and conducting code reviews in object-oriented ABAP
• Knowledgeable about integration patterns, including IDOCs, QRFC, SAP Cloud PI & Azure for robust system integrations
• Proficient in solution design & requirements gathering following RICEFW methodology
• Capable of analyzing production incidents and implementing effective resolutions
• Experienced in test automation and integration testing for comprehensive quality assurance
  Qualifying requirements:
• SAP Gateway / OData Services / Core Data Services / SAP Fiori / UI5
• S/4 HANA Restful Application Programming Model (RAP)
