Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Serves as the technical leader/manager in the ITR Engineering Organization to develop a scope of work and plan schedule and monitor engineering activities for customer projects. Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors.
• Represent the technical focal point in projects thru coordination and planning all aspects of assessing, proposing, and technical execution of projects by leveraging the regional and global teams.
• Supports manufacturing plants, particularly in Saudi Arabia, as a technical resource in engineering issue resolution.
• Experienced in combined-cycle power plants and aware of decarbonization technologies. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in this area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
• Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
• Provides technical management throughout the project execution process and works closely with fulfillment teams in assuring a smooth handover and execution with mitigated risk plans.
• Embrace and drive a culture of horizontal thinking and execution by working in a boundaryless fashion and fostering the early detection of quality issues and risks as well as promoting lean processes that drive fulfillment excellence.
• Uses judgment to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science
• Extensive experience in an engineering or technology role and/or Customer Project Engineering/Management
• Knowledge of general turbomachinery and power plant building blocks including balance of plant and EPC experience
• High technical skills mixed with strong business acumen and influencing skills to lead and execute in high risk projects.
