Embedded Systems Engineer for IoT Systems

• Drive/Support integration of BLE Controller firmware integration with third party vendors
• Drive/Support integration of ESL Service to third party access points
• Verify BLE controller firmware with respect to Bluetooth 5.4 core specification
• Verify Signal integrity in combination with BLE Host
• Verify Coexistence under respect of BLE spectrum
• Verification of communication between cloud and end device from the gateway's/access point’s perspective
• Research into causes between BLE Host and Controller, especially BLE traffic (HCI and air traffic)
• Implementation/Support of testing and verification systems
• To assess products’ readiness, through alpha and beta tests
• To ensure the perfect conditions to test & verify products
• Support installation of alpha and beta tests at R&D
• Ensure regular monitoring and troubleshooting of the installation
• Provide the feedback and therefore improve quality of products
• Coordinate the technical installation Ops and R&D
• To ensure documentation and training is delivered and suggest improvements
• To ensure that products can scale and be supported
• Troubleshoot problems on beta tests
• Inform team leader about the status
• Identify risks and initiate corresponding countermeasures
• Help support teams with new optimizations and extensions
• Escalate according to internal guidelines

Requirements

Experience:

• At least 3 years as IOT Application Expert in R&D or similar exceptional work experience in development and/or testing roles.
• Embedded/IoT:
  Radio protocols, especially in Bluetooth Low Energy
  Linux based operating systems
• Coding Skills:
  C/C++
  Python
  Scriptin

Skills/Abilities:

• Great technical understanding
• Good analytical thinking skills
• Interest in computer science
• Ability to abstract for the modelling of solution concepts
• Willingness for further training on new technologies, legal aspects
• Willingness to work irregular hours for troubleshooting
• Good and sympathic teamplayer
• Independent working style

Education:

• University of Applied Sciences or higher technical college (with experience) for telematics, information and computer technology or equivalent training

Additional Informations

A minimum basic salary of EUR 3.724 gross per month for full-time employment applies to the advertised position with a willingness to pay depending on the actual qualifications.
