Staff Software Engineer

​Your Role:

Tenable is looking for a Full-stack Staff Software Engineer to join our UI-based Vulnerability Management Applications development team. Focused on designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based, state-of-the art solutions for Vulnerability Management in the ever-evolving landscape of customers’ IT infrastructure in a non-intrusive, scalable way, the Vulnerability Management Applications team enables organizations to address the challenge of understanding and mitigating their cybersecurity risk. As a Staff Software Engineer on the team, you will have the opportunity to be part of implementing and maintaining highly scalable, highly reliable cloud-native user interface and underlying microservices which utilize modern technologies and programming languages, as well as maintaining and enhancing the endpoint scanning technologies to support new platforms and expanded capabilities.

​What you’ll need:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or a directly related field
• 7+ years of software development experience, including experience with leading cross-functional projects
• Experience developing single-page applications in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with React and JavaScript visualization libraries
• Experience utilizing Restful API’s
• Experience with cloud-native data stores and data processing systems is a plus
• Experience with network security systems is a plus
• Accountability for the behavior of your software in production
• Experience coaching and leading mid-level and junior staff in the design, implementation, and execution of highly technical development projects
• Experience in working in an Agile team, and an enthusiasm for working collaboratively within and across product teams
• The ability to work independently and as a part of a team, and to lead/drive projects as necessary
• The desire to continuously learn and be exposed to new technologies
• Have a mindset of let’s get it done and be nimble
