The ROPS SQL Developer role is a developer who is responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of business-critical backend databases, ETL workflows, and VBA applications.

What Will You Do?

The SQL developer will have experience with one or more development technologies (e.g., MS Access, SQL Server, SSIS, Oracle, VBA), and will work closely with other members of Team Excelsior to deliver accurate and insightful metrics and information to their partners in ROPS, in a dependable and consistent way. The SQL developer will work in a collaborative environment with analysts and other teammates on Team Excelsior and across ROPS to successfully fulfill the data needs of ROPS.

Essential Functions:

  • SQL Development: Develops back-end ETL and workflow processes in MS Access, SQL Server, SSIS, Oracle, VBA, and other approved technologies as needed.
  • Maintenance: Provides support, as required, to ensure the availability, accuracy, and performance of ETL and backend data processes that feed Team Excelsior reporting.
  • Reporting: Exhibits an advanced understanding of our technology platforms and information systems with an ability to run, troubleshoot, QA and deliver recurring reporting on a set schedule.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrates ability to understand key business problems and relationship to the revenue cycle processes, then partners to provide a data-driven solution to help solve.
  • Administrative: Create and maintain documentation related but not limited to reporting, processes, training, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years related experience preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies: MS Access, SQL Server, SSIS, Oracle, VBA, Informatica, Netezza
