Vice President

As the VP of Women’s Design, you will have the opportunity to bring Vuori designs to life and further establish our thriving women’s business. In this role, you will use your knowledge of design and performance product development to bring innovative designs to market. With an excellent eye for fashion, styling, and trend, we entrust you to deliver quality crafted products that reflect Vuori’s aesthetic and ethos. You will lead, manage, and execute the seasonal design process, and own design research. We’re looking for an inspiring leader and communicator to manage the women’s design team and collaborate with key partners in marketing, merchandising, materials, and development.

In this role, you will bring a deep understanding of the Performance and Fitness market and it’s competitive landscape, as well as have the knowledge of elevated craftsmanship. As a leader within our Design team, you’re a seasoned design team builder, developer of talent, and cross-functional collaborator, that fosters people a first, egoless culture.

This role reports to our SVP of Design.

Requirements

What you'll get to do:

• Manage the design creation process for the Women’s Collection from concept to finished product.
• Collaborate with our Merchandising team to develop a cohesive collection that meets the needs of our growing Women’s business.
• Partner with the Women’s Development team to foster thorough and on time Design tools and TP’s.
• Able to create and support the following: styling tools, fabric briefs, concept boards, color palettes, merch guides and seasonal design documents.
• Responsible for managing calendar, deadlines and data integrity of development and design materials.
• Collaborative partner to our Product Team on special projects that support Vuori Initiatives.
• Build strong partnerships with design and product, as well as with cross-functional partners.
• Build and lead a high-performance team, providing coaching and development opportunities. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes excellence.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of product design experience is required and product development experience with an understanding of managing product from concept to completion.
• Performance and Fitness Apparel expert with a strong sense of Lifestyle Fashion and trend in relation to the market.
• Knowledge of performance materials and manufacturing processes used to build performance products and a deep understanding of technical fabrics.
• Excellent Computer Drawing skills for technical and construction detail sketches & related art using Adobe Illustrator.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills with emphasis on Google/Google docs.
• 7 + years of experience leading and managing teams.
• Must possess strong organizational skills, motivation and thrive in a collaborative work environment.
• Exceptional at relationship management and prioritization.
• Exceptional team leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong cross-functional leadership; ability to work with and influence across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high growth environment.

The salary range for this role is $240,000 per year - $270,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
