Middle Data Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Middle Data Engineerto join our team! The successful candidate should be proficient in data modeling techniques and capable of discussing and communicating business rules and how to implement those rules in a data model. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Database/SQL (such as Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/MongoDB)
• SQL writing skills
• Capable of building conceptual, logical, and physical data models in Erwin and/or ER Studio/or any similar visualization studio
• Proficiency in working with big data and HIVE is an advantage
• Technical expertise in database architecture, design, and data modeling
• Knowledge of data model types and terminology, including OLTP/OLAP, (de)normalization, dimensional, star, snowflake modeling, cubes, and graph/NOSQL
• Competency in gathering and analyzing system requirements and designing conceptual and logical data models
• Ability to understand and apply data naming standards and explain your definition of "best practices in data modeling”

Responsibilities

• Design and develop integration data models between multiple disparate data sources and consolidate them into a single common data model (enterprise data model)
• Maintain responsibility for version control of the data model(s), as well as consistency between the data model and deployed instances of the model
