WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Industrial Engineer provides support, direction and process optimisation guidance while acting as a technical resource for Christchurch Engine Centre (CHCEC) to introduce and support new technologies and processes.

Key tasks/responsibilities include:

• Site focal for Technology Insertion and Transformation projects (including on-going support), and subject matter expert (SME) for Utilization / OEE.
• Function as a technical resource to locally introduce and support new technologies and processes in line with Technology/Operational Excellence/CORE Councils.
• Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
• Design compliant tooling for technology system integration into CHCEC processes.
• Take an active role in the Continuous Improvement (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) program

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE YOU MUST

• NZ LAME OR Higher Level Diploma in a relevant Management or Engineering Field
• Experience in Process Modelling, data mining, analysis & various computer software administrative abilities.
• Project management experience
• Understanding of capital acquisition process – knowledge or background.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE WE PREFER

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Management or Engineering Field
• Ability to organize many details into a broad view of the total organization.
• Experience in lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement.
