**Job Description Summary

This role will lead Operations for GE Gas Power - India Engineering Organization (IEO) across the 3 locations – Bangalore, Hyderabad and Noida. JFWTC site operations for GE Vernova will also be part of the role.

This role will be responsible for driving operational excellence working with the GM, CoE leaders in GPE India & the GPE Operations globally, GE Vernova leaders at the JF site and other stakeholders to establish and drive key organizational metrics, develop processes that meet business goals. This role will also work as needed with GPE Global ops team members to ensure synergy & synchronization of the site. Close collaboration with finance leaders will be essential.

The role will drive initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interface with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination. The Ops leader will own/influence budgets and operating plans and is guided by operating policy. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop & execute operational plans that are consistent with business objectives & strategy. Work with each site to understand specific needs for Ops and customize solutions while also bringing consistency/ best practices across sites where applicable.
• Provide thought leadership in identifying and leading major initiatives to enable organizational strategy, efficiency and cost out opportunities.
• Facilitate development of key metrics that highlight progress toward key goals and develop mitigation plans as necessary to offset risks to goals and commitments.
• Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
• Partner with finance team in building finance ops plan (SII) for upcoming fiscal year and in decision making of P&E investments
• Ensure IEO teams honor the allotted bullet train budgets (T&L, training & education, employee welfare etc..) and follow specified guidelines. Define and ensure appropriate accounting of spend between the 3 sites
• Partner with IT for all related requirements eg: new software requests, hardware procurement requests, AMC/renewals, VDI request, HPC requirements etc.. as per business demand
• Resolve funding and headcount related issues/ queries. Provide guidance and issue resolution for MyTime and PMx
• Collaborate with global Ops & communicate directions and change in standards as applicable to the IEO leadership. Obtain HC and additional special requirements approvals from global ops leadership
• Lead quarterly operations review for finance and labs
• Provide oversight for any site level operations/ compliance projects or recurring requirements
• Support/Lead/Drive improvements of the new processes (indirect sourcing, IT, finance, customs etc). Use Lean to drive productivity and improved employee experience.
• As JFWTC Vernova ops support, the role needs to ensure the funding for the common events is planned, communication with Aerospace functions, internal Vernova EOU compliance & checks, and other site level permits, licenses, legal , facilities etc related items.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 12 years of experience
• Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities
• Must be a superior communicator; viewed as direct and truthful. Demonstrates high energy, enthusiasm, persistence, and the unique ability to maintain an uncompromising balance with thoroughness and a quick-to-action style of execution.
