Sr. Systems Engineer

At Visa, Corporate Information Technology CIT encompasses enterprise technology that empowers Visa Inc. staff to perform core business functions needed to support ongoing management of Visa Inc. operations. Finance and Legal and Compliance FaLC is a group in Corporate IT that provides application design and development service to support corporate systems within the Revenue, Billing and Pricing, Finance systems, Global Legal, Privacy and Compliance portfolios. This role maintains, manages, analyses multiple systems overall health, audit, compliance, and security. Experience in cloud SAAS applications in Finance, LRC areas.

The candidate should enjoy working on diverse technologies and should be excited to take initiatives to solve complex application, technology problems. and get the job done while taking on new challenges. You should thrive in team-oriented and fast-paced environments where each team-member is vital to the overall success of the projects. This resource needs to be fungible in adapting to new tools and technologies and become a subject matter expert to maintain and be audit and compliance with FBA, FFIEC regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are a must for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience in Cloud applications, its infrastructure and experience in owning integrations of cloud applications
• Experience and understanding of On prem, Hybrid and SaaS applications infrastructure
• Understanding Shift Left portal application and experience in Findings management, Creating Exceptions, owning Security assessment, PEN Tests
• Maintaining, monitoring, configuring, testing, handling security findings, patching, upgrading, and analyzing large volume high performance applications
• An E2E experience in handling Vulnerability management workflow and fixing findings
• Experience in Cloud platforms. Moving, Upgrading to Azure, Google cloud
• Indepth knowledge on Authentication, Authorization IAM and ability to work solo on SSO enablement with key team players
• API integration experience
• Understanding of applications to be complaint and attestations
• Experience in handling audit and SOX control issues.
• Perform analysis on application productivity, usability, improvements and automate and improve its efficiency
• Drive insights or for finding anomalies or root cause of specific issues
• Work with ATC, SME, TPM and Product Managers to keep the system up and running and improve its overall quality
• Build analytics on tool performance and monitoring and take data driven decisions for betterment.
• Design and build automation tools, scripts for data analysis, bulk data comparisons, validations, pattern recognition and monitoring
• Experience in ITSM in all facets. Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Support
• Support agile activities: sprint planning, stand ups, sprint review and sprint retrospective
• Work with limited direction, usually within a complex environment, to drive delivery of solutions and meet service levels
• Productively work with peer technical, functional partners in multiple countries and time zones
• With active engagement, collaboration, effective communication, quality, integrity, and reliable delivery
• Develop and maintain a trusted and valued relationship with the team, customers, and business partners

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

• Minimum 5 years' experience in IAM, Vulnerability management, Cloud application support and maintenance, PENTEST.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4 - 8 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Experience in systems engineering of fixing audit, SOX, security findings, vulnerabilities and attestations and being compliant.
• Vulnerability management, cybersecurity experience needed.
• Cloud applications infrastructure experience.
• Experience in application integrations.
• Experience in IAM components.
• 5 years in programming using SQL or similar, coding using Python or similar.
• Excellent problem solving, analyzing, testing, integrations, configuring and debugging large data centric and batch process-oriented applications.
• Expertise in understanding complex data models and writing complex database queries and scripts for RDBMS, Hadoop
• Must have working knowledge on Windows OS and Unix. Hands on experience in shell scripting.
• Hands on experience in testing, analyzing, and debugging applications built on diverse modern technologies like Hadoop, Java, Spark etc.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to clarify and elaborate the requirements.
• Must be highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills and outstanding analytical skills.
• Expertise with Agile, Scrum development methodologies and project, requirements management tools like JIRA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must have.
• Enjoy working fast and smart, and able to grasp complex concepts and functionalities.
• Proficiency using Advanced excel for data analysis will be a plus.
• Experience building automation tools and test automation solutions.
