Simple Technology Solutions is looking for a Senior Data Governance Analyst to add to our team. This role is not an immediate opening and is in anticipation of a government contract award.

Quick Position Overview:

• US Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years' position-related experience is required.
• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification is recommended but not required.

The Role:

The Senior Data Governance Analyst will lead and implement data governance initiatives for a government client, focusing on driving transformation, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and enhancing data quality. Success in this role involves fostering a data stewardship culture, developing governance frameworks, and achieving measurable improvements in data management practices. This position is integral to ensuring the client’s data governance strategies are aligned with both regulatory requirements and organizational goals.

The Senior Data Governance Analyst at STS will:

• Lead cross-functional data governance teams and strategies that influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across complex data landscapes.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
• Drive data governance transformation efforts, fostering a culture of data stewardship.
• Oversee data quality assessments, develop remediation strategies, and conduct governance maturity assessments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align data governance efforts with organizational goals.
• Monitor and report on the success of data governance initiatives through key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide guidance on data management, data quality, and metadata management practices.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role.
• Proven ability to lead data governance projects and work with complex data systems.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills to influence stakeholders.

Required Certifications:

• None specified.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
