Prototyping Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Prototyping Engineer to join our NTI team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating prototypes to support project teams, with a strong emphasis on coordinating, maintaining, and advancing our prototyping technologies, particularly in 3D printing. You will oversee the full range of our 3D printing capabilities (FDM, MSLA, SLA), including their maintenance, parts production, and the introduction of new equipment.

As a member of our Development Center team , you will play a crucial role in ensuring that prototypes are produced efficiently and to the highest standards. We are looking for an innovative and problem-solving individual who takes initiative and brings new ideas to develop future solutions for the automotive industry. Your contributions will help us develop new technologies and expand our current prototyping possibilities to meet the evolving needs of our projects.

Your role:

· Prepare prototype components to support project teams, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and functionality.

· Develop designs for support of prototyping process – molds, 3D models changes for the better prototyping

· Increase Development Center prototyping capabilities by introducing new machines and technologies with focus on 3D printing.

· Collaborate with project team to understand project requirements and timelines, ensuring that prototypes are delivered on schedule and meet the specific needs of each project.

· Apply an innovative and proactive approach to overcome technical challenges in prototype development, continuously improving and expanding our prototyping capabilities.

· Maintain detailed records of prototyping activities, including equipment maintenance logs, material usage, and prototype test results.

· Provide guidance and training to team members on the use of 3D printing equipment and prototyping processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

· Identify opportunities for improving existing prototyping processes and equipment, driving efficiency and effectiveness in prototype production.

Your Background:

· M.Sc. Engineering Degree – mechanical, electrical or related

· Proven experience in prototype development and production, with a strong focus on 3D printing technologies.

· Good command of spoken and written English

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly.

· Open minded, ability to work in a group, ease of communication

· High level of motivation, dedication and problem solving skills

· Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools commonly used in prototyping

· Knowledge of Engineering software – Siemens NX, Catia will be an advantage

· Automotive Industry background would be an advantage

· Experience with maintaining and optimizing prototyping equipment.

· Driving license “B”
