Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Wilson, NC (Onsite)

Position Overview: We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and evaluate operational sequences across multiple business units. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing performance and efficiency, leveraging best practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Sequences: Develop, implement, and assess operational sequences to enhance efficiency and performance across various business units.
• Best Practices Implementation: Apply industry best practices for manufacturing operations and installations. Specify procedures for fabricating tools, equipment, and managing complex assembly/disassembly and repair processes.
• Performance Optimization: Drive efficiency and performance improvements within manufacturing processes. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to address and resolve nonconformances.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities and execute changes to improve product quality or reduce costs. Utilize knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, and product design.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, maintenance, quality, and design teams to implement and refine robust manufacturing processes.
• Welding and Brazing Expertise: Develop and qualify welds with various metals. Experience with vacuum, resistance, torch, hydrogen furnace, and other brazing processes is required.
• Solution Evaluation: Evaluate potential solutions for changes in equipment design, procedures, manpower, or training to ensure optimal operations and workflow.
• Manufacturability Review: Review and validate recommendations on manufacturability for current and future products. Advise on necessary modifications to address quality, customer requirements, product constraints, or productivity challenges.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer with a focus on efficiency and performance optimization.
• Strong expertise in welding and brazing processes with various metals.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in evaluating and recommending improvements for manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, and quality control standards.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR restrictions.
