Zero Trust Infrastructure Engineering Architect

Key Role:

Work with U.S. Commands to deliver designs and implement and maintain a secure enterprise architecture that aligns with Zero Trust security best practices. Use your expertise to assess existing infrastructure, develop secure solutions, and guide the overall security posture of the organization. Collaborate with security and IT leadership to define and implement a Zero Trust security architecture across the enterprise IT landscape. Conduct Zero Trust assessments to identify vulnerabilities in existing infrastructure and develop remediation plans based on Zero Trust principles. Design and implement secure solutions that are based on Zero Trust principles such as minimizing privilege, leveraging segmentation, and enforcing strong access controls. Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation for Zero Trust security architecture, including diagrams, policies, and procedures. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Zero Trust security and industry best practices. Work with application and system owners to integrate Zero Trust principles into their security frameworks. Participate in the evaluation and selection of security tools and technologies that support Zero Trust principles. Monitor and analyze security logs to identify and respond to potential security incidents. Participate in security incident response activities as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or VMware NSX
  • Experience in design, development, installation, testing, and full operational capability
  • Experience creating reference architectures across multiple infrastructure arrays
  • Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and document builds
  • Knowledge of Security Architecture or Engineering
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and information technology
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED and 11+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and Zero Trust, Associate's degree and 7+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and Zero Trust, or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture and Zero Trust
  • Cloud Certification such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud EN, IBM, or CCSK Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python or Java
  • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures and programming languages
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
