Team Description:

Sabre is seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer to work with Sabre Sonic Web(SSW) team. SSW suite hosts very critical and sensitive set of applications, that act as an entry point for most of the airline traffic of Sabre.

Project description:

At Sabre, we’re passionate about building and supporting software that solves problems. In this role you will evaluate, from a reliability standpoint, the operational architecture, properties and techniques used in production.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
• Regularly interacts with subordinate supervisors, architects, product managers, HR, on matters concerning projects. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship
• Provides technical mentorship and cultural/competency-based guidance to teams
• Provides larger business/product context. Mentors on specific tech stacks/technologies
• Advises design engineering on selection, application and test of electronic components and systems
• Recommends design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability
• Determines reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve company, customer and any governmental agency reliability objectives
• Develops new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product reliability
• Makes recommendations for changes in the selection and application of components and systems
• May propose changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability
• Develops and provides technical expertise on highly complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software. Begins works on product architecture and design
• Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
• Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
• Acts as advisor to others to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Minimum 8-10 years of related experience
• 4 year degree/post 4 year degree/advanced certifications
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Very good knowledge of Cloud based technologies(GCP/AWS)
• Good automation skills using any scripting/Programming languages(Shell/Python/Perl)
• Proficient English, both written and verbal
