The Enterprise IT Security team is focused on securing the endpoints, applications, infrastructure, services and networks that Datadog employees rely on on a daily basis. This includes thousands of devices running macOS, Windows, and Linux, as well as SaaS services like Google Workspace and Zoom, hosted services running in AWS, and our office networks. As the Senior Enterprise IT Security Engineer, you will collaborate cross-functionally with a large group of security professionals who build tools and systems to help us realize our mission of keeping Datadog safe.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Automate processes, integrate systems, create and maintain internal IT security tools and services.

  • Harden IT applications, endpoints, SaaS services, office networks, and AV systems by employing forward thinking security models like “secure by default” and “zero trust”.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert to assist in responding to security incidents on Datadog’s IT infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with other Datadog security teams to improve threat intelligence, incident response, vulnerability management, and the development of new standards and procedures.

  • Use machine learning and LLMs to develop systems for improved threat detection and response, data classification, DLP, and the reduction of risk.

  • Contribute to Datadog's enterprise security roadmaps by staying up to date with the latest security threats and making recommendations for improving our security posture.

  • Educate employees on the importance of data security and advise them on best practices for maintaining a secure environment.

Who You Are:

  • You possess several years of experience using endpoint protection, threat and anomaly detection (EDR, XDR, SIEM), and vulnerability management systems.
  • You have demonstrable knowledge in hardening and troubleshooting MacOS, Linux, Windows, iOS and Android devices.
  • You are proficient in the automation and integration of cloud-based systems using high level languages like Python or Go, IaC, and CICD pipelines.
  • You have extended experience with identity and access management frameworks and protocols, including SAML, OAUTH, ODIC and SCIM.
  • You have hands-on experience operating and securing SaaS platforms, and IaaS platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure.
  • You have experience in complex threat hunting or incident response processes through multiple interconnected systems.
  • You possess excellent communication skills and are capable of working collaboratively with a globally distributed team while independently managing projects, and prioritizing and reducing risks.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reason about complex data security challenges.

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)

  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing

  • Intradepartmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking

  • An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups)

  • Access to Inclusion Talks, our internal panel discussions

  • Competitive global benefits

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.
