The Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon is hiring for one (1) Full-Time, Limited Duration Payroll Analyst position.

Minimum Qualifications (these must be addressed in your resume for full consideration):

Two years of experience in analyzing, calculating, recording, and maintaining routine financial information and must include accounting, data, or payroll processing;

OR

At least 94 quarter (63 semester) credit hours or associates degree from an accredited college, university, or vocational- technical school that includes 12 quarter (9 semester) hours in accounting, business, or finance;

OR

A Certified Payroll Professional’s (CPP) certificate;

OR

One year of experience analyzing, calculating, recording, and maintaining routine financial information and must include accounting, data, or payroll processing; AND

At least 43 quarter (29 semester) credit hours from an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school that includes 8 quarter (6 semester) hours in accounting, business, or finance;

OR

One year of experience analyzing, calculating, recording, and maintaining routine financial information and must include accounting, data, or payroll processing; AND

Payroll certification from an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school

Preferred Skills (these must be addressed in your cover letter for full consideration):

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot payroll differences and resolve issues promptly is crucial for maintaining payroll accuracy and employee satisfaction. each one of you is a rock star when it come to this one.
  • Active listening, attention to detail, multitasking/time management, adaptability, and organization
  • Accuracy and organizational skills. Experience with Excel and analyzing reports. Team player.
  • Communication, Customer Service, Compliance Experience
  • Attention to detail, organization, time management, problem solving, adaptability, communication with team and fellow management/employees.

Additional Information & Benefits:

The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%. Please review the Classification and Compensation page for more details.
