The Test Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, WI will facilitate end-to-end testing processes across multiple teams and components. Collaborate across teams, ensuring seamless communication and exchange of data, scenarios, test results, and logs. Follow AGILE/SCRUM methodology, attend backlog, sprint planning, grooming, and daily stand-up meetings. Provide CRM support for end-to-end testing and collaborate with support teams for production issues. Leverage GitLab for source control. Write and execute automation scripts using JavaScript in Visual Studio Code. Design and execute queries to fetch and verify backend data. Manage defects. Prepare test plans, develop test cases, and identify/create test data. Write and review test cases utilizing JavaScript, Scala, Kevlar framework, and Gatling framework. Coordinate testing activities, including functional, automation, regression, sanity, smoke, performance, and integration testing. Utilize Visual Studio Code, Jira, Azure, Postman, Swagger, Power-BI, Azure Database, Azure Portal, Dbeaver, Amazon webservices, and Kibana. Automate web-based applications using Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, Maven, and Java. Develop robust and scalable JUnit-based, data-driven framework using Page Object Model (POM) structure, enhancing test maintainability and reusability. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Salary $78,166- $139,100 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field plus 3 years of experience as a software engineer, test engineer, or related occupation. Experience must include 3 years with each of the following: (1) Visual Studio Code, Jira, Postman, Swagger, Power-BI, Azure Database, Azure Portal, DBeaver, Amazon Web Services, and Gitlab; (2) writing and executing automation scripts using JavaScript; (3) defect management; (4) working in an Agile workflow; (5) writing and reviewing test cases utilizing JavaScript, Scala, Kevlar framework, and Gatling framework; and (6) testing frameworks including Cucumber and Selenium.
