Would you like to be a key part of the Testing Center of Excellence (TcoE)? Reporting to the TCoE Manager, you will lead the planning, designing, executing, and reporting on software testing activities and results for assigned projects. You will craft, plan and execute strategies, test cases, weekly and closure reports, coordinate the resolution of defects and bugs, and ensure proficient use of available testing tools. You will support other testers that may require assistance with their testing activities, to deliver high quality and timely test plans and execution.

About the Role

  • Participate in all Software Development Life Cycle phases (Agile/Waterfall) as the Testing Lead for wide array of projects - test planning, test estimation, test case design and hands-on execution
  • Review and analyze business requirements to ensure appropriate test approach and coverage
  • Provide regular reporting on the status of test planning, testing metrics, defects and execution activities, including regular status updates to the project team.
  • Ensure timely notification of risks, and make recommendations for resolution and escalation to the appropriate Team Lead /Manager
  • Communicate and negotiate testing timelines, resourcing, scope, and critical targets with Project Managers and the TCoE Manager /Team Leads from an efficiency and a risk-based perspective.
  • Execute manual and/or automated regression, SIT, Functional and End-to-End test cases or scripts; and conduct bug triage meetings.
  • Provide guidance and assistance, where required, to project testing resources on policies, procedures and testing activities associated with the TCoE
  • Be able to efficiently handle multiple tasks/projects, share knowledge and support post-production validation
  • You will maintain, and store all test-related artifacts
  • Follow project gating processes that are implemented by the PMO
  • Act as a champion for and follow TCoE and PMO Governance

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • QAI CSTE, ISTQB Certification or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in a Test Lead role
  • 10+ years of IT Quality Assurance and execution experience on projects in agile and waterfall environments
  • 10+ years experience in testing mobile, web, API /back-end services
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA, Zephyr, Confluence, BrowserStack, ServiceNow, Workday
  • Strong manual and automated testing proficiency using industry standard best practice quality assurance techniques and methodologies (preference will be given to individuals that have some Tosca work experience)
  • In-depth hands-on experience in maintaining and executing Java/Selenium test automation scripts and a dedication to continuous improvement
  • e-Commerce expertise (some Retail/POS system testing would be considered an asset)
  • Customer-focused, collaborative, with great communication skills; enjoy working with all levels of business
  • Self-motivated, flexible and detail oriented; adept at managing and meeting multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines in a highly matrixed organization
  • This role does not have managerial responsibilities
  • Able to follow a hybrid work model – 3 days in the office/week
