What you’ll do

  • Process all payroll including (but not limited to) scheduled semi-monthly US payrolls for both salaried and hourly employees, bonus, commission, and off-cycle payroll run (RSU).
  • Audit and prepare for scheduled semi-monthly payroll during the payroll cycle.
  • Create and maintain folders for each payroll run including supporting backup and software reports.
  • Review HR PI files and upload in ADP. Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Review and audit all changes to payroll and file backup with each run.
  • Collaborate with third party service team to complete the international tax filing on timely manner
  • Responsible for ADP Time Attendant system updates and employee setup, provide the accurate time sheet report for semi-monthly payroll.
  • Review timesheet entries for discrepancies i.e. missed hours, excessive over-time, missed punches and missed lunch breaks.
  • Responsible for employee questions with regards to payroll and payments etc.
  • Collaborate with HR team, Production, Operations, and accounting teams.
  • Prepare payroll and labor analysis reports for upper management, finance, FP&A, and accounting department etc. as needed and upon request.
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies.
  • As required, contact payroll software technical support to address any issues or to research changes to procedures
  • Understanding payroll GL and payroll accounting no experience required
  • Experienced with month end closing process and reconciled payroll accounts
  • Maintain payroll process is compliance with company internal control and SOX policy
  • Understand the state, local tax filing requirements, collaborate with team for state tax registration

Your experience

  • BSc/BA in Business, Accounting, or related field; professional certification preferred but not required
  • 2+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll, general ledger entry and payroll accounting experience
  • Hands on knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
  • Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, MS Office etc.
  • Proven experience as a payroll specialist, coordinator, or similar role
  • Familiarity with payroll software ADP Workforce Now (Workday, NetSuite, Blackline)
  • A keen eye for detail with excellent attention to detail
  • An analytical mind and good math & excel skills
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material is a MUST
  • Proven record to communicate with various levels of management
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality

The base pay details represent the annualized salary range for the posted position. While we share a comprehensive range, a candidate’s final base salary will fall within these guidelines and will be determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to: qualifications of the candidate, job related knowledge, prior related experience, specific and unique skills, the location of the role, internal equity and internal budget.
