Job Description Summary:

The Lead Business Systems Analyst role at PayPal presents an exciting opportunity to put your analysis skills and product management skill at use at the same time. Put on our product management hat and help PayPal build state of art finance products along with keeping the finance systems clean to yield crystal clear numbers in reporting.

Job Description:

This role helps in working with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Accounting Policy Group, Program managers, product, development/FADS, analytics and UX).

Your day to day:
In your day to day role you will -

  • Develop a product roadmap for 3-5 Product Portfolio’s and work with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Accounting Policy Group, Program managers, product, development/FADS, analytics and UX)
  • Execute on the roadmap.
  • Candidate should be equipped to work in a highly collaborative , cross-functional matrix organization who should be able to gather , collect and analyze accounting requirement from product requirement and translate them into data, accounting ,reconciliation and reporting related requirement.
  • Candidate should act independently as a liaison between GCP, External banks, Treasury, ARP, Accounting, Disputes, Accounting policy, Risk, Operational reporting, regulatory reporting, AFI BA , Recon, ECC and Corrections team to gather requirement and assess impact.
  • The candidate should be able to document the outcome of discussion with in a BRD that document Product Description, Signed off T-accounts, Reconciliation approach, bank accounts and GL (if needed)
  • The candidate should be able to communicate the test data requirements when planning a product BRD to align with upstream partner team.
  • Should be assertive to call out risks of delay upfront if the test execution impact the product launch timelines in right forum.
  • The candidate should be able to kick off a BRD discussion with all the impacted teams and ensure that teams are equipped with all inputs to design right products.
  • The candidate should be able to work with accounting function to execute the user acceptance test and seek sign off.
  • Provide the right support to the RTB team for products in warranty stage

What do you need to bring-

  • 5-10 years total experience in business analysis, managing finance products.
  • Product management experience - product road map creation, requirement gathering, defining product vision, execution of road map, execute product strategy, plan and carry out product launches.
  • Accounting experience - T-accounts, cash settlement, reconciliation is a must
  • SAP FPSL (Financial Product Sub-ledger ) / SAP ECC / SAP MMT Fiori is good to have
  • Cross functional team collaboration is a must have
  • Finance Operations is good to have.
