Job Summary
The Numerical Parts Record (NPR) and Engineering data system (EDS) process managed by Supply Chain Services division is responsible to collaborate with cross functional teams and ensure timely and accurate Aftermarket Service Parts information including Part serviceability, Package Quantity, Replacement part Information, pricing & literature references etc. This information creates visibility to the dealers to identify and place orders on Caterpillar Aftermarket parts system to ensure seamless support to customers.

What You Will Do

• Timely executing of all process and sub processes tasks performed to ensure seamless availability of information across Caterpillar and dealer visibility systems.
• Responsible for interpreting and acting on engineering changes for correct replacement parts in the appropriate NPR systems and applications to ensure right part information is available to the dealers and customers.
• Deliver high performing production systems and efficient, accurate, secure, and accessible data to support analytics needs across Cat and Dealers.
• Develop automated processes to aid in data cleansing and maintenance using analytical tools.
• • Develop and test new reporting tools, following standards and best practices.

Background/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Maths / Science / Commerce

• 4 - 6 years’ experience with strong parts experience preferably with parts product structure, procurement, inventory planning and parts distribution practices

• Should possess good product knowledge, familiarity with parts inventory procedure, practices, and policies

• Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Strong technical skills in SAS and MS Office – Excel

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Strong customer focus and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people

• Must be flexible to work in different shift timings.

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Tools: Knowledge of electronic data interchange tools; ability to design, implement and maintain tools and facilities in order to establish a computer-to-computer interchange of electronic data among organizations.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Maps EDI data within appropriate applications; develops and test new maps.
• Assists in the development of tools and techniques for electronic data interchange.
• Adheres to electronic data interchange standards, policies and guidelines.
• Operates main functions of electronic data interchange tools and facilities.
• Compares different applications for use in different electronic data interchange situations.

Inventory Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Follows processes to take stock, release inventory or return into processing; resolves discrepancies.
• Tracks inventory information for a specific product group or location.
• Works with basic tasks of inventory management for a specific location.
• Produces basic inventory management reports for senior staff to reconcile the inventory balances.
• Performs the receiving, ticketing, checking in and distributing of inventory items for a specific location.

DESIRED SKILLS

· APICS CPIM or CSCP National Certification
