The role of Completions Analyst Onshore is core to our Wells group, supporting the planning and execution functions on a day-to-day basis. The Completions Technologist is a focal point for data management, operational preparation and regulatory reporting. This position works collaboratively with other technologists and analysists within the Wells team, as well as liaising frequently with asset team members both within Calgary and at the sites.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two years relevant industry experience
  • Exposure to Oil and Gas industry is an advantage
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP, Wellview, PowerBi would be an asset
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the curiosity to seek greater knowledge and understanding of the systems, processes, and hazards in the workplace
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; good presentation skills; well organized; positive influence; collaborative; accountable

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and review Wellview data. QA/QC check data against other sources for consistency
  • Compile and submit completions Regulatory reports for In Situ, Base Mine, Fort Hills and Syncrude
  • Support Asset Well integrity regulatory submissions
  • Provide Wellview and Site View User support (once trained)
  • File and document administration for Completions group
  • Completion Project status tracking and close out support
  • Liaise with vendors to coordinate reporting and logs
  • Backup and vacation coverage for Drilling Analyst and Logistics support
  • Track, monitor and report completions related emissions across all sites
  • Understand the financial processes and support the supply chain procurement and project controls requirements
  • Take pride in supporting our Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) program and Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) development
  • Access administration for various team sites and Lessons Learned software
  • Provide vacation coverage for Drilling and logistics Technologist/Analysis
  • Ownership of Completions PowerBi dashboard, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data

Location and other Key Details:

  • Please note that this is a temporary position starting as a 6-month term with the possibility of extension
  • This is an office-based role; you will work out of our Calgary head office located in the Suncor Energy Centre (150 – 6th Ave SW)
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
