Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

As part of the Customer Service department, the job holder :

-Is responsible for all technical relations with assigned Korean customers, whatever the state of the product in its life cycle (pre-sales, development, deployment, in run phase, in LCM and LBO phase, ...)

-Is responsible for customer communication and ensuring consistency through :

Customer demonstrations at customer site or at Thales Korea site

1st level customer technical support (customer complaints or customer demands)

Contributing to the organization, with Marketing and/or Sales, of customer visits to Thales AVS France Moirans RAD and missions to customer sites

Customer training

After-sales technical communication:

o RMA (Return Material Authorization) management

o FAR (Failure Analysis Report) validation

o Vendor support in cases where warranty is not applicable.

-Manages all internal reporting related to assigned customers.
-Has a thorough knowledge of the entity's product range and its configuration possibilities, and proactively maintains this knowledge.

As part of the development of new products, and their evolutions (LCM), for which he/she provides an overview of the situation at customer sites, the holder of the position:

-Is responsible for the Customer Support package with the support of French customer support team
-Supports the integration of products (hardware and software) with the first customers (including accompanying the employees in charge of these customers) by proactively proposing and building an innovative solution to capture the customer.
-Is responsible for writing some of customer documentation.
-Trains customers employees on new products and may tutor other end users with the support of the Customers.
-Collects customer requirements as a basis for launching product developments.
-Is responsible for communicating product evolutions to customers through ECNs (Engineering Change Notices).

Requirements

-Fluent English mandatory
-General engineer with medical imaging skills preferred
-General knowledge of radiology detector products, imaging solutions and their applications
-Experience in integrating complex sub-systems into equipment
-General technical knowledge of electronics, software and optics
-Use of operating systems: Windows, Linux

-Taste for service and customer relations
-Availability, pragmatism, rigor and serenity in the face of the need to deal with numerous subjects in parallel
-Aptitude for team and project work

-Training: General engineer (knowledge of physics, electronics, IT and mechanics)
-Experience: At least 5 years' experience in a similar position, ideally in the medical field.
