About the team

As a global engineering powerhouse, our teams are spread across Australia, China, USA, Netherlands, and Singapore, representing a vibrant mosaic of cultures and engineering viewpoints.

Our SRE team is breaking new engineering ground and we have the opportunity to define innovative solutions for a number of challenges, paving the way for other teams to follow in our footsteps. This team is responsible for the availability, performance, monitoring and capacity planning of our Global services.

What you’ll do

As a Senior SRE, you will provide a continuously-improving infrastructure, observability and necessary tooling and automation. Working closely with our application engineers, your responsibilities will cover release pipelines, automation, observability and incident management.

This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.

Responsibilities:

- Architect and implement cloud infrastructure for new and existing applications.
- Champion continuous improvement and automation, reducing operational overheads and improving incident response.
- Ownership of the teams runbooks and observability practices.
- Ownership of the teams devops performance metrics.

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in an SRE/DevOps role or a role with SRE-like responsibilities
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Kubernetes, observability tools and influencing SRE best practice
- Experience working with application engineers to diagnose and solve problems
- Experience in monitoring, working in a high availability environment and emergency response
- A Degree in Computer Science or similar

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience working in a software product environment
