THE OPPORTUNITY

BCI has an exciting Business Solutions Analyst opportunity in which you will learn/work with SimCorp Dimension (SCD). This great career opportunity will provide exposure and experience to the business and application side of technology. SCD’s suite of integrated solutions supports institutional investors in managing assets, reducing costs in the long term, mitigating risks and ensuring optimal value for money.

SCD was developed specifically for complex securities management tasks. Whether it is about fund management, securities accounting, securities trading, or back, middle and front office tasks: SCD significantly facilitates management as well as trading of securities, foreign exchange and derivatives. SCD is firmly established in the financial services industry and is used on all continents.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

The main purpose of the role is to contribute to the successful support and maintenance of SimCorp Dimension and to all aspects of delivery around SimCorp Dimension. This interesting assignment offers you a unique opportunity to increase your knowledge and get experience on a variety of disciplines. In order to deliver, our BSA I will:

  • Learn how to provide solutions and deploy services related to the usage of SimCorp Dimension
  • You will also gain experience in providing support for resolving problems and issues which occur in applications and the system operations of SimCorp Dimension.
  • Technical configuration maintenance and enhancement, and daily operations of the applications (including monitoring and troubleshooting)
  • Working extended hours might also be required on occasion.
  • Provide support for resolving problems and issues which occur in the technical solutions and the system operations of SimCorp Dimension and the underlying infrastructure
  • Provide application support & solutions to overcome issues encountered by internal clients and the team and to optimise usage of the systems for them.
  • Engage with highly skilled and supportive colleagues, each bringing their diverse backgrounds and perspectives

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Knowledge of and previous work in the investment management industry
  • Excellent customer-service, listening, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with change management principles and practices relating to IT transformations

EXPERIENCE LEVELS

Business Solutions Analyst I:

  • Responsible for business solutions analysis and contributes to projects with a low-to-mid level of complexity, typically acquired through 3+ years of experience. Works under guidance, applies business solutions analysis key concepts effectively, and has an experienced level of competency within the role.

  • BCI’s Technology department plans, provides, maintains, and supports business applications and information technology infrastructure. The Technology department is foundational to BCI - working as a strategic partner to provide technology that supports investment processes and all other business activities.

Work from our downtown Victoria office.

SALARY RANGE

BCI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off.

The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $87,000 to $105,000.

The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration to internal equity.

We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we compete for talent and with consideration to internal equity and job structure. We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.

Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience and expertise.
