Senior Motion Designer

The Opportunity at Altana

As the first motion designer at Altana, you’ll be responsible for all animated and video content. From product animations to marketing campaigns, this role will be a major driving force for the Altana brand, leveling up our design team through animation, video, and sound. You’ll take complex ideas and product features and simplify them into beautiful, understandable visuals for video content. You won’t be alone — you’ll work alongside an incredible team of marketers and designers to create fantastic work that is not only visually impressive, but also drives results. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. The ideal candidate for this role has an extraordinary portfolio of animation and video content, is wonderful to collaborate with, and has worked at a fast-growing tech company before.

You Will

• Elevate the Altana brand with your world-class motion design skills
• Manage the start-to-end production of various animation and video projects including marketing campaign videos, product release videos, product animations, and ads
• Work with other members of the Brand and Marketing teams to create a consistent brand voice
• Proactively maintain brand guidelines for all motion design / video related projects
• Transform raw video footage into creative stories through editing and design
• Field both large and small requests with the same level of expertise and creativity
• Organize and prioritize tasks to deliver requests on time
• Stay up to date with current trends and techniques in animation and video

You Are

• 7+ years of experience in design, animation, and video production preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
• Strong portfolio showcasing an adherence to brand guidelines through animation and video projects such as UI animations, product ads, product demo videos, and marketing campaign content
• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Clear communication, collaboration, and concepting skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to write or interpret scripts, give feedback, storyboard, and sell your ideas to stakeholders with a strong attention to detail
• While not a requirement, any experience with Figma, Adobe InDesign, Blender, Cinema4D, and other relevant 3D software is a plus
