SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a dynamic Marketing Data Analyst with strong data analytics skills to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between marketing, business intelligence, data management, and engineering with a heavy focus on analytical and business insights. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytics and a deep understanding of business analysis to drive data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about transforming data into insights, can think critically about the design, implementation, and monitoring of new processes, and can work collaboratively across departments. The Marketing Data Analyst will play a key role in driving the company's success in the rapidly evolving P&C market.

Purpose of the Role: As a Marketing Data Analyst at SageSure, you will build innovative marketing analytics solutions and tools that help the marketing team deliver key insights to improve marketing performance, optimize campaigns, enhance segmentation, increase engagement, and determine the business impact of marketing initiatives. The Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and transforming data from many different sources. This role is responsible for proactively gleaning insights relative to key performance drivers. The Marketing Data Analyst will be responsible to develop, execute, and analyze proofs of concept through delivering a final product.

What you’d be doing:

1. Data Analysis and Synthesis:

o Query data to create marketing target audience lists for outbound communications.

o Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and synthesize findings into insights for key stakeholders.

o Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical requirements.

o Work with data science team to build predictive analytics visuals and next-best-action recommendations.

o Engage with business users to gather and document requirements for new reports and analytics solutions.

o Perform gap analysis and identify areas for process improvement.

o Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making.

2. Data Analytics Engineering:

o Work with data engineering team to oversee their development of new data pipelines and ingestion of those pipelines into marketing analytics platform to create new, usable datasets.

o Work with data teams to develop monitoring schedules to maintain health of data sets that support our core functions.

3. Design, Build, and Maintain Analytical Tools:

o Design and build new analytical tools including, but not limited to:

  • ROI and attribution model
    Campaign performance dashboards
    KPI reporting

o Maintain and/or enhance the suite of analytical tools.

o Contribute to improving the marketing analytics tooling and infrastructure.

o Work with data science and business intelligence teams to develop new attribution and ROI models to measure marketing’s business impact.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

o Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

o Conduct training sessions and workshops to empower business users with data literacy skills.

o Communicate analysis results with stakeholders (marketing strategy team, content team, and key department leaders).

5. Project Management:

o Lead and manage data analytics projects from inception to completion.

o Research and understand stakeholder needs and translate them into analytics requirements.

o Build request intake and development process through our online project management tool.

o Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

o Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.

o Drive pre-build and post-launch analytics initiatives.

o Support various marketing pillars during pre-build initiatives by providing guidance on KPI development and definitions.

We’re looking for someone who has:

Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

· Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst

· Understanding of and experience working with typical marketing data sets, such as Google Analytics, CRM data, email marketing data, and social media.

Skills:

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

· SQL or similar query language.

· Experience with statistical modeling.

· Experience with data visualization tools such as Domo or Power BI.

· Ability to organize, analyze, and share large amounts of data clearly and be able to communicate insights effectively.

· Ability to work independently and responsibly “own” projects.

· Track record of supplying analytics solutions for existing marketing teams, with the ability to take open-ended goals and scope them into defined and impactful objectives (and can speak to their successes).

Highly preferred candidates who have:

· Proficiency in Python, R, and/or VBA.

· Data modeling and ETL processes.

· Experience working in the insurance industry.

· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

· Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics.

· Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or related credentials
