ABOUT THE ROLE:

Senior Business Analyst (P3) Engineering - US Remote

Aviatrix is looking for a Business Analyst who will be responsible for the data analysis, reporting and business insights to support our Product Engineering organization. The ideal candidate will be energized by operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is an amazing opportunity for a creative thinker, looking to make an immediate impact at a fast-growing and innovative tech company. Specifically, we are looking for a candidate who knows data and how to use it to answer business and technology and process questions. What should we capture? When? How? Is it correct? How do we maintain data hygiene? Is it being interpreted correctly? How do we communicate the data to tell a story showcasing positive and negative results and outcomes, etc.? The ideal candidate will be facilitating data-based decision making, enabling our organizational scaling with clarity and sane, compassionate collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Transparency:

• Adept at creating clear and impactful visualizations that distill complex and detailed data into insights that executive leaders can easily grasp. The best BA's can create visualizations that they don't need to explain, the insight pops out of the charts by itself.
• Assist in creation of executive-level reporting related to engineering operational and finance data. Track and report on progress.
• Publish and maintain dashboards and drive regular reviews - both Push & Pull.

Financial Planning/Budgeting Analysis, Insights, Trends:

• Alongside finance partners, support engineering leadership with corporate planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support strategic initiatives.

CSP Spend Analysis, Insights, Trends:

• Work alongside engineering leadership to monitor CSP spend, and aid in the creation of systems or processes for CSP spend optimization.

KPI Analysis, Insights, Trends:

• Work alongside engineering leadership to develop, maintain, and enhance comprehensive models to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and their impact on engineering efficiencies and desired outcomes.
• Help identify, assign, and track completion of action items associated with KPIs.
• Uncover insights and make recommendations based off of this analysis and research.

Ad hoc Data Analysis, Insights, and Trends:

• Perform ad-hoc deep dive analysis to develop actionable insights that will drive program improvements, and strategies.

Definition and Requirements Refinement:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather & refine requirements, define scope, and prioritize deliverables.

Communication/Collaboration:

• Simplify complex challenges into pragmatic actionable plans. Have the heart of a storyteller, and the brain of an analyst.
• Collaborate with Finance and Engineering teams to transform data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.

Influence-ability:

• Empathetically connect and catalyze people within a matrixed-management environment.

Relationship Building:

• Partner with multiple cross-functional stakeholders and team members to ensure alignment.
• Build effective relationships and networks that drive action.

Reflection and Improvement:

• All day, every day, have an eye out for what can be improved and make it happen!

Requirements & Nice-to-Haves:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst working in Software Development, Product Development, and/or Program Management areas, preferably in the Cloud Networking domain
• Expert analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Adept at working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Well-versed in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid project management methodologies
• Expert in SQL, Business Intelligence Programs (e.g. Omni), Jira, Jira Search Extension, Jira Product Delivery, eazyBI, Confluence, G-Suite, and MS Office. Knowledge of Coda, Sharepoint, Lucidchart, Lucidspark, and Flexera or other cloud spend management platforms. Note: The suite of applications and data sources you will be using will be extensive and dynamic. You may not be an expert in all of them, but you are an independent and fast learner, willing to roll up your sleeves and figure it out.
• Nice-to-Have Certifications: PMI-PBA, Certified Looker Business Analyst, Tableau Certified Data Analyst certifications, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Administrator Associate)

US Pay Range

The US National annual base salary range for this full-time position is $131,000 - 160,000 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. [Certain roles are eligible to earn sales commission, depending on the terms of the applicable plan.] The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US.
