Lithos Energy designs and builds advanced lithium-ion battery packs from the ground up for use in high-performance automotive, marine and aerospace applications. Overview

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be taking on a critical technical role on the BMS development team. You will be responsible for defining and developing various software components that are core to the functional safety aspects of the BMS. This role requires prior knowledge of Functional Safety standards, such as ISO 26262.

Responsibilities

• Creating and documenting Best Practices software development processes and procedures

• Writing requirements specifications for various functions in of the BMS

• Implementing software components in C
• Working with software test engineers to ensure safety critical components are fully verified and documented
• Working with peer firmware engineers to integrate new components into the BMS code base
• Working with fellow engineers to validate software behaviour in the battery pack
• Participating in peer code reviews
• Reviewing hardware schematics

Minimum Qualifications

• Electrical or Software Engineering Degree (Masters degree or above preferred)
• Experience developing software for safety critical applications
• Functional Safety (FuSa) training for ISO 26262
• Experience writing C and/or C++ software for an embedded processor
• Experience working with Cortex-R microcontrollers for safety applications
• 8+ years of experience in the embedded development area

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working with batteries and BMS's
• FreeRTOS experience

Salary Range - 150-230K + equity - Dependent on experience
