We Innovate to shape the future of CRE, so in this role you will:

• Work on all UW tasks on the assigned deals along with coordinating & monitoring/quality check of loan underwriting tasks performed by internal resources to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work product. Escalate issues and proposed solutions to the Underwriter as needed.
• Draft the deal underwriting for the Underwriter and assist in presentation of the deal to the loan committee, with the Senior Underwriter direction.
• Develop positive relationships among the Mortgage Banking and GSE underwriting teams, while maintaining a good rapport with Underwriters, UW Analysts and peers within PLG to achieve shared business goals while demonstrating diplomacy and flexibility.
• Foster the growth and development of less experienced analysts by creating a supportive environment. Mentor analysts to bring them up the learning curve by providing hands-on support, sharing knowledge and best practices, and giving constructive feedback. Identify areas of improvement of the new / less experienced analyst and customize training.
• Serve as a SME on specialized products such as Seniors or Affordable, coaching analysts on unique requirements specific to those products.
• Proactively manage day to day workload; manage expectations and ensure timely communication and collaboration with peers.
• Continuously identify process improvement and best practice suggestions, and assist in implementation.
• Drive personal development plan for self-study training as well as programs required by Berkadia.
• Coach and mentor other staff members and organize professional development opportunities for team.

• Flexibility to support other underwriting work per process requirements, and perform other projects and duties as directed by Senior Underwriter.
• Working knowledge of Office 365; Microsoft Suite; SalesForce [OmniView]; Polaris APPs and SharePoint Deals 2.0.

The provided base salary information for this position is part of an overall national range. The actual salary within our range for this position will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The total compensation package for this role may also include additional incentive opportunities.

Compensation

$80,000—$90,000 USD
