Klaviyo is seeking a highly motivated Principal Financial Analyst (Hub Based) to join the FP&A team, specifically focused on analyzing and forecasting SMS usage and costs. This role plays a critical part in driving informed decision-making by providing accurate and actionable insights related to SMS performance. This role will partner across departments to provide an accurate cost forecast. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate that wants to be part of a dynamic FP&A organization that is scaling for the future.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of usage-based business models. This candidate would have experience with cost forecasting for usage based pricing structures. This candidate will have a strong track record of providing structure, consolidation, and analysis of financial and product data.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Conduct thorough analysis of SMS usage and costs, including trend analysis, variance explanations, and performance metrics to monitor overall business performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive accurate SMS cost forecasts that align with overall company guardrails
  • Build standardized SMS reporting for executive leadership team to provide visibility, drive ownership, and proactively identify risks and opportunities
  • Continuously refine and improve FP&A processes related to analysis, forecasting, and reporting

Who You Are

  • Role requires 3-days per week in Boston office
  • 5-8 Years of FP&A or Finance experience with SaaS and/or high growth companies; preference given to usage based software models
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong understanding of usage and subscription-based business models and key metrics
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and experience with financial planning software
  • Effective communication skills to present complex financial information clearly and succinctly to non-financial executive stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven track record of driving insights from data to influence strategic decisions
  • Planful and NetSuite experience preferred

The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. This role is eligible for benefits, including: medical, dental and vision coverage, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), flexible paid time off and company-paid holidays and a culture of learning that includes a learning allowance and access to a professional coaching service for all employees.

Base Pay Range For US Locations:

$133,600—$200,400 USD
