Turbomachinery & Process Solutions (TPS) operates across 120 countries and serves the entire energy value-chain and industrial sector. We hold an extensive portfolio of rotating equipment, process flow, and transmission technology and lifecycle services. Our Instrument Control Engineering team uses cutting-edge technology to design gas and steam turbines, compressors and expanders.

Take ownership for leading design projects

As a Field Control Engineer you will represent Baker Hughes both technically and professionally in front of our customers to ensure that equipment is installed, maintained and started properly.

As a Field Control Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Providing on-site technical direction on control systems installation, , commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance on customer owned sites

• Supervising the positioning and wiring of control panels such as Unit Control Panel (UCP), auxiliary panels of any type, Direct Current Panel (DCP), battery charger and battery cells, Generator Control & Protection Panel (GCPP), Motor Control Center (MCC)

• Checking the functionality of the control sequencing for all auxiliary systems, relevant to the turbine and driven equipment

• Leading Installation, Maintenance and Commissioning Site Activities with proper Customer/Company Schedule Targets

• Preparing timely and accurate technical reports for customer records

• Preparation of job-planning documents to define the control system scope of the outage

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have Bachelor’s degree in engineering

• Have experience in energy, power plant, oil and gas or related industries

• Have 5 years’ experience with rotating equipment installation/maintenance;

• Have 5 years’ experience/knowledge of the control logic of gas/steam turbines, compressors or and of their auxiliaries

• Be able to communicate in Kazakh/Russian, English ( speaking/writing)

• Knowledge and experience with GE Control System Speedtronic Mark V, Mark VI, Mark Vie is a significant plus

• Have Microsoft office experience
