The Team: The Morningstar International Wealth Platform allows investors and advisers to collaborate

through their financial journey with seamless and enjoyable digital experiences. By learning

through data and engagement, we build products and offer services that connect people to

the financial information and tools they need. Our mission is to enhance the education,

engagement, and experience for the investor.

Responsibilities:

Design and support the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure data platform related cloud native architectures using AWS through solution designs, data modelling, best practice and principles definition, and technical evaluations.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for cloud data solutions

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Lead cloud migration projects and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, design patterns, and standards

- Ensure good understanding of data principles, compliance requirements and data governance through collaboration with data SMEs and reflect those into all architecture artifacts produced.

- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance.

- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with security and operational standards.

- Collaborate with other architects to perform internal reviews of proposed architectures, ensure continuous feedback loop and confirm proposed architectures align with overall target architecture and preferred tech stack.

- Participate and advocate for participation in architecture governance forums.

Drive reuse of data platform components and facilitate collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Author white papers, best practices, and technical documentation to share knowledge and drive innovation within the organization.

- Design and implement serverless architectures, leveraging AWS services.

- Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers in best practices and professional development.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technology and integrate relevant updates into the organization's architecture.

Requirements:

- AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification.

- 10+ years of experience in IT with a minimum of 4+ years in an architect role.

- Extensive experience with AWS services.

- Working knowledge of Azure and ability to design hybrid cloud solutions.

- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and cost optimization.

- Proficient in cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Proven ability to write and publish technical documentation, including white papers and best practices.

- Experience in designing and implementing serverless architectures.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in multi-cloud environments.

- Knowledge of other cloud platforms and technologies.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
