Summary

For the “Security Solutions” division, we are looking for a “System Engineer in the Security Solutions division (f/m/d)” at the Oberkochen site as soon as possible.

The “HENSOLDT Security Solutions” department is responsible for the implementation of all projects in the area of “Security Solutions”, such as monitoring and protection systems for critical infrastructures and monitoring systems for borders and coasts. The systems used generally consist of a range of sensors for detecting and tracking a wide variety of objects, such as RADAR sensors, EO / IR cameras and RF / DF sensors.

The customer base is international. The Security Solutions team is spread across locations in Oberkochen, Ulm, Taufkirchen and Singapore.

The tasks in system engineering lie in the technical system design of complex optronic mission packages (OEIR and software) for use in border surveillance and coastal surveillance systems, as well as in the technical coordination of all development-related activities between market / customer requirements and the interdisciplinary organizational units.

Your Tasks

• Derivation of customer-specific system concepts from customer requirements into technical specifications
• Creation of customer-specific system concepts for complex electro-optical solutions for border and coastal surveillance
• Preparation of cost estimates and quantity structures in close coordination with the interdisciplinary specialist departments
• Technical coordination of development activities for product adaptation to specific customer requirements and system designs
• Requirements management to fulfill contractual requirements
• Coordination with internal and external interfaces
• Advising customers on system design and presenting technical solutions for their specific applications in the areas of border and coastal surveillance
• Support for delivered systems, including on-site visits if required
• Support in the selection and evaluation of external partners

Willingness to travel internationally is required.

Your Profile

• Completed degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering or communications engineering or comparable
• Extensive practical experience and knowledge in product development, engineering, change management, systems engineering and quality systems
• Several years of experience in multi-sensor system design, acceptance tests, requirements management and performance analyses
• Knowledge of relevant tools such as Doors and Enterprise Architect
• Willingness to take responsibility, ability to work in a team, organizational talent and motivation
• Friendly and confident demeanor as well as strong communication skills and enthusiasm
• Very good knowledge of German and English
