POSITION PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The management, monitoring and remediation of Hibbett network services as quickly as possible using all available resources to ensure the Store Support Center, Distribution Center and Retail environments can service our customers.

SUMMARY

The Senior Engineer, Network makes customer service a top priority by focusing on supporting all retail & corporate locations network connectivity. The support is in the form of monitoring, configuring and troubleshooting network environment. This position works directly with 3rd party communication providers and provides input on communication requirements. Performs various layers of troubleshooting to provide vendor/partners with technical specifications which leads to remediation of down communication lines and/or required network services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of Hibbett network infrastructure environment by monitoring network performance, configuration, maintenance, and engineer solutions along with 3rd party vendors to complex issues.
  • Works with vendors to assist in new, rebranded, relocated, remodeled locations and supports these activities and utilizes available vendor resources to complete tasks.
  • Technical lead for the Hibbett SWAAT team and works with other members to provide technical assistance and explanation to non-technical members. Takes ownership of technical issues and provides solutions and is the primary contact with other technical teams.
  • Performs 1st layer of troubleshooting as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
  • Performs the creation and setup of “Store Restoration Kits” as required to ensure temporary connectivity
  • Performs duties as the technical liaison working as a key team member of the SWAAT team with the objective of providing and or restoring network services quickly.
  • Oversees the firewall solution to provide services as required and resolve issues as they occur.
  • Maintains the internal and external network connectivity for DVR’s to support Asset Protection team.
  • Ensures all WIFI is functioning and troubleshoots issues with 3rd party communication vendors.
  • Works with 3rd party communication vendors to determine the requirement for Wireless Access Points
  • Acts as a key member for all technology related projects
  • Works with Network Architect to assist in Enterprise Network projects or issues as required.
  • Responsible for the network connectivity documentation and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A., B.S.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Current CCNA or CCNP certification required.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge with the following:
    • Routing and Switching
    • TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, DHCP
    • Cisco Network Routers – Cisco IOS
    • Meraki devices
    • Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
    • Network cabling – Punch downs, cross connects, and patch panels
    • Wireless Access Points
    • Wireless Access Controllers
  • Must be familiar with most of the following:
  • Managing and working with 3rd party communication vendors
  • Managing and configuring Zscaler
  • Managing and configuring Network Management tools
