IT Server Storage Engineer

What you can expect

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and software
• Monitoring server performance and ensuring optimal system functionality
• Managing server security and implementing necessary measures to protect data
• Troubleshooting server issues and identifying and resolving technical problems
• Planning and implementing server upgrades, patches, and backups. Server deployment
• Monitor Isilon, Pure and HPE storage ensuring accepted availability and response times
• Monthly report on activities, ongoing projects and initiatives
• Provide standard storage operations such as management RAID Volume/LUN creation, Allocation, Deletion and adding hosts
• Configure, monitor and Manage Fiber Channel
• Manage hardware installations, failures, and break/fix together with vendor suppliers
• Manage and perform tasks such as folder creation using the ticket system (Matrix42)
• Monitoring the fill levels of all storage systems and initiating actions to shift or delete data to avoid system malfunctions and failures

What you'll bring

• Good communication skills as well as team player skills with a proactive approach
• 3-5 years’ experience of storage operations
• Good knowledge and working experience of Dell EMC Isilon
• English mandatory (German is a plus)
• Good knowledge on ITIL
