Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer, you will join our team in Sheffield to support our activities within the Robotics sector.

As aSoftware Engineer your main responsibilities will be:

• Ensuring that software is designed to be easily adaptable for different languages.
• Modifying and adapting software interfaces and content for specific languages or regions.
• Creating tools and scripts to automate localization workflows, such as text extraction for translation.
• Managing and updating localization platforms and tools.

• A strong and capable engineer with theoretical understanding of SLAM and the common approaches used to solve this.
• A team player, being able to design and implement SLAM algorithms.

Requirements

Experience required, skills and qualifications required:

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to function effectively in a team.
• Experience developing in C++.
• Experience of real world deployment of novel algorithms onto robots.
